Bloomsburg is looking for students who are determined to succeed, and unafraid of a challenge. The application process helps us better understand who you are and your level of readiness to start your climb.

    1. Submit your online application and $35 fee
    2. Start your application by creating a new account. You should choose “transfer” when prompted.
    3. To be considered for admission, students must be in good academic, social, and financial standing at their previous institution(s). Final admission is based on receipt of all final, official transcripts.

    Nursing Applicants

    • The application deadline for the fall semester is March 1st and November 15th for the spring semester.
    • Decisions made around early January for spring and mid-to-late May for fall.
    • If you are applying to the general BSN, you can only apply for a fall semester.
    • If you are applying to the online RN to BSN, you can apply for a spring, summer, or fall semester.
    • If you are applying to the accelerated nursing program, you can apply for a spring or fall semester.

    International Applicants

    If you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you will also need to submit:

    • An Official English Language Test (TOEFL or IELTS)
    • An official college or university transcripts in English and evaluated by an accredited, outside evaluation service
    • A foreign Student Financial Statement
    • A Certified Bank Statement in English and converted to US Dollars verifying you have a minimum of $36,990
  2. Admissions Criteria

    1. A cumulative college GPA of a 2.5 in all courses is preferred for most majors, but we'll consider a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
    2. For selective majors, pre-requisites may be preferred/required to be reviewed or to enroll.
  3. Contact the Registrar

    1. Contact the Registrar at the previous college(s) or university from which you earned your first bachelor’s degree. You must submit an official transcript directly from each college you have attended.

    2. A transcript can be sent through services like e-script, Parchment/Naviance or the National Clearinghouse. If an email address is needed as a recipient, you can use admissions@commonwealthu.edu.

    3. A transcript can also be mailed to:

    Who is eligible to apply?

    Students who have earned a bachelor's degree at any college or university, including Commonwealth U, must apply as second-degree students.
